The Investment and Financial Planning Association (IFSA)
IFSA is a national not-for-profit organisation which represents the retail and wholesale funds management, superannuation and life insurance industries. IFSA has over 140 members who are responsible for investing over $950 billion on behalf of more than nine million Australians. Members' compliance with IFSA Standards and Guidance Notes ensures the promotion of industry best practice.
Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA)
The FPA is the peak professional body for Australia's financial planners, representing the financial planning sector in Australia.

Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA)
APRA is the prudential regulator of the Australian financial services industry. It oversees banks, credit unions, building societies, general insurance and reinsurance companies, life insurance, friendly societies, and most members of teh superannuation industry.
Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC)
ASIC regulates Australian companies, financial markets, financial services organisations and professionals who deal and advise in investments, superannuation, insurance, deposit taking and credit.
FIDO
FIDO is the consumer website of ASIC.
Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
The ATO is the Government's principal revenue collection agency, and is part of the Treasurer's portfolio. Their role is to manage and shape tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians.
The ATO website contains tax information for individuals, companies and organisations.
Centrelink
Centrelink is part of the Human Services portfolio, delivering a range of Commonwealth support services to the Australian community assisting people to become self-sufficient and supporting those in need.
Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA)
FaHCSIA is the Australian Government's principal source of advice on solical policy, which works in partnership with other government and non-government organisations in the management of a diverse range of programs and services designed to support and improve the lives of Australians.
Department of the Treasury
The Australian Department of the Treasury monitors and assesses economic conditions and prospects, both in Australia and overseas. It provides policy advice on taxation, retirement income and financial system reforms, corporate practices, and the safeguarding of public interest in matters such as consumer protection and foreign investment.
Treasury comprises three ministerial portfolios:
- Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia;
- Minister for competition policy and consumer affairs; and
- Minister for superannuation and corporate law.
